A note about our program's progression system:
All incoming 6th graders, depending on which instrument they select, are assigned in our String Orchestra or Concert Band program.
After 6th grade, students have the opportunity to audition for our advanced ensembles (Chamber Orchestra or Wind Ensemble).
It is the expectation that students complete a year in each ensemble's progression.
Advancement to each of our top ensembles is audition based, where students must comprehensively demonstrate skills appropriate for a student who's taken two years of ensemble music at Peterson.
