Concert Attire

NOTE: The design above is representative of a prior shirt's design. 

6th Grade Performer Guidelines:

• Students in 6th grade ensembles will wear our Peterson Music T-shirt (black w/ logos)

• Solid black dress shoes. No sweat pants. No Jeans.

• Black dress pants

• Black socks

• Skirts/Dresses must be knee length or longer

• Black tights or leggings should accompany all skirts/dresses

Ordering Notes:

T-shirt designs for 6th graders are determined at the start of every year, and shirts will be available for purchase through our boosters. This will be our standard performance attire for all 6th grade music performers during the school year. If obtaining a shirt presents any financial hardship, a shirt will be provided at no cost. Please connect confidentially with Mr. Pangilinan or Mrs. Hollander. No student will be excluded from participation based on ability to pay.

The following guidelines are examples of what students could wear to concerts. These options can be mixed and matched as needed. “Concert Black” is the default for all music performances and communicate the professional expectations that accompany musical performances.

Students with specific concerns regarding concert attire should contact PMS Music staff to make accommodations as needed.

The follow options are possible combinations. The best and most preferred option is option 1, with variations as described in options 2 and 3.

Option 1 (Primary):    

• Plain, black, button-down collared shirt (long or shot sleeve) with no stripes, dots, or off-color fabrics

• Black dress pants 

• Black, close toed shoes, including flats or men’s style dress shoes. No heels or sandals

• Long black socks, stockings

Option 2:

• Long black dress that covers knees when seated

• Black tights/stockings 

• Black, close toed, including flats. No heels or sandals

• Black cardigan/shawl to cover arms if needed

Option 3:

• Long black skirt that covers knees when seated

• Black tights/stockings

• Black shoes

• Long black blouse

• Black long-sleeved cardigan/shawl to cover arms if needed
