PETERSON MUSIC VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
There are many ways to get involved and support your child’s growth in our music program. Chaperone field trips to Great America and Disneyland, or help behind the scenes at our Music Socials and Bake Sales during performances.
Have talents in home cooking? We need you! You don’t have to be there in person. Volunteer your time to bake at home and donate your treats for us to sell. Our bake sales fund instrument repairs, sectional coaches, and field trip transportation. You can also donate dishes for our potlucks at Music Socials.
More information, including specific volunteer roles and sign-up forms, will be posted on this Peterson Music website, a well as in ParentSquare.
If you’d like to volunteer, here are some of the confirmed dates so you can plan ahead :
Fri, 9/25/2026 — Music Social #1: Movie Night
Thurs, 12/10/2026 — Winter Performance: Bake Sale
Fri, 3/5/2027 — Music Social #2: Video Game Tournament
Sat, 4/24/2027 — String Orchestra / Concert Band Music in the Parks / Great America Field Trip **
** This field trip requires district volunteer clearance, and our preference would be for 6th grade parents due to the nature of this field trip. Contact us for details if you are interested.
Fri, 5/28/2027 — Music Social #3: Awards Night

Below, you will find updated 2026-2027 SCUSD Volunteer Requirements. Please complete all steps weeks in advance if you are planning to chaperone field trips (Great America, Disneyland, etc).
